Summer Camp

If you want your child to have an exciting, interesting summer experience, then St. Luke’s Summer Camp is the place for you. This summer camp is so fun that kids do not want to leave. We have been doing camp for over 50 years, and we know what kids love.

Summer Camp is for children entering grades first (1st) through eighth (8th) in the coming fall and typically runs from the beginning of June through early August.

Camp provides a wide range of opportunities and experiences for children. We have our own pool on site staffed with professionally trained lifeguards. Your children swim only with other children registered for camp. In addition to the trained lifeguards, children are supervised by up to four counselors certified in CPR and First Aid.

Sports and recreation provide ways for children to relax and enjoy summer fun, exercise, and develop individual interests and skills, play and interact with friends, and develop team spirit.

Opportunities for sports and recreation include field sports, gym games with the famous Coach Jones from West University Elementary, free gym time, playground and indoor tennis. Children also have the opportunity to play ping pong, foozball, and air hockey during their game time activity.

Music and Drama has quickly become a camp favorite.

The kids participate each week in a project that may include silent movies, music videos, puppet shows, commercials, and more. They have the opportunity to chose to write, direct, act or all three! These projects are filmed, edited, and reproduced on DVD’s for the children to watch and take home.

Lunch is available each week!

Monday – Thursday lunch is available for purchase. Click here to find more information!

Each Friday the entire camp takes a field trip.

We book the most exciting and fun places around: Schlitterbahn, bowling at 300 Houston, Putt Putt FunHouse, and Incredible Pizza to name a few.

For all sixth (6th) graders attending Summer Camp, there are three special Tuesday Field Trips.

These trips are optional and are open to all sixth (6th), seventh (7th), and eighth (8th) graders. Please see 2012 Summer Camp Payment Guidelines for futher information.
